There are three levels to the Open CITS program: Certified, Master, and Distinguished. The program is made up of four parts:
- Core Foundation Skills
- Client Focus Skills
- Technical Focus Skills
- Experience Requirements
Each level requires the candidate to complete a certification package, which contains a series of questions that map to the Conformance Requirements required by the program. Candidates need to answer each section and give a detailed account of how they dealt with each area. They will also need to provide a minimum of two (2) experience profiles for Level 1 (three (3) for Level 2 and 3) that described how their skills were used in their particular IT projects.
There is one set of Conformance Requirements defining the skills and experience that an IT professional must possess to achieve certification.
- Conformance Requirements [1]
- To apply for certification and for full program documentation [2]
- You can find out whether you can meet the requirements for any stream within the Open CITS program at either Level 1 (Certified) or Level 2 (Master) by using our latest Open CITS self assessment tool. Download here [3].
The certification package can take up to 40 hours to complete. Mentoring can be arranged for applicants on request. For details, contact us [4].
